Here are some pics of my selfbows and my BrownDog Saint recurve.
Selfbows are basically whittled out of a seasoned stave from a tree. I prefer hickory and osage. The 1st bow I made into a shooter was ash. It is my wifes bow and aptly named "Autumn Song". Included is the hickory bow I finished in July 04. I used it to take a nice plump doe in November.

Tiller 44lbs@28" Man I LOVE to see 'em bend! There's a bit too much bend at the limb tips- hence it is called "whip-ended".

I loose the 1st arrow out of the hickory longbow. Nice hat!

This 68" 60# @ 26" hickory bow is covered by 2 Timber Rattler snake skins. I've named her "Addiction"

I used my dog Shiloh's favorite soup bone for nocks. I also stained the wood with RIT dye.

The 'sage bow's 1st deer. My artwork may be more primitive than I think!

Included is the arrow used to slay the young buck. This deer was taken with a 5 yard shot!

I passed on many bigger bucks that year. I got this one with 20 minutes to go in the season.

The last bow I bought- a BrownDog Saint recurve- 59# @26'. A really SWEET shooting bow for a GREAT price!
