Here's some odds and ends pictures.....

My 2001 buck- my first with a selfbow!
I called this buck in to my stand 20 minutes before the early season closed!! He came in between 2 large cherry trees that had fallen of the side of the steep bank providing just a bit of daylight under them. The large tree he stood behind gave me no shot into the vital area.

I expected him to jump the trees while he was in front of me at 7 yards. This rascal crawled under the larger tree and looked right up at me! He was at 6 yds at this point. He took one step while his eyes stayed their course. I was at full draw and released into the animal at 5 yds! I only go up about 6 feet in my treestand so this was exciting for sure!!
My '95 buck- taken with an Alpine Rebel
Ya just never know.....

Windy as all heck, starting to rain, other hunters in the woods....

Yup typical night out huntin! Called this one in on the 3rd day of archery season.... THIS is the kind of buck I like to hunt! Not the biggest- but at least 2 years old.

"When the Alpine barks- start plannin your menu."
Deer Hounds!!
Here's Jared and my nephew Anthony deer sittin'...
My daughter Jami and I actually found the critter and had the 2 boys stay with the deer for a bit.

I shot the buck 1 - 1/2 miles back into the woods, luckily it was a flat drag out thru fields.  Brooke Hershiser told me he was bringin his wheelbarrow and I just laughed.... Well-- 1/2 hr later we were at the truck!

Now I have a Versacart- I highly recommend one!!
